I’m not one to compare my body to others, but this is definitely what my goal body looks like. Also, people tell me constantly that I look like her, so yeah?

Here it is! Lots of Warrior Dash pictures! Some before, in the beginning, at the end, and completely after!!

Let me first say, this event was so well organized! Huge props to all the volunteers and those who were in charge! We got there an hour and a half early (as suggested). We grabbed our race packets, put on our bibs, and took some before pictures. Before I knew it it was 9:30, and it was time for us to line up for our 10:00 wave!

  • The Race!

At 10:00 we were off. It began with about a quarter mile run  mostly down hill and flat, with a small hill. We got to a lake and had to swim to the first obstacle. It was a mud crawl under some barbed wire. After that we had to go under a net.

Next was a short run, then a series of going over a 4ft ish wall, and under a wall. Probably about 4-5 of each. Another short run,  and then we got to wall we had to climb up, not too bad. More running, and another swimming obstacle. The middle was a little blurry, so I guess I’ll sort of just mention some of the obstacles I can remember.

After swimming it turned into an uphill hike, so I started walking, plus it rained the night before so we were slipping if we tried to run too fast. From what I can remember, I think we had the climbing wall next. It was easy for me, actually all the climbing stuff was easy for me. I finished when all the people I started with were half way through. I ended up helping some people up the climbing wall.

After the climbing wall we had a thick roped net we had to climb up and across. Then a giant water slide, so much fun! But I got scratched up! Then jumping over fire! Then, finally, crawled under barbed wire, and then into the mud pit!!

Finished in under 50 minutes, and I’d say a little bit of that was because we got held up behind some people in the beginning, plus started late. The race results are up online but my name or bib number isn’t coming up, so I’m not sure what happened. I turned in my chip :(

Anyways, it was awesome, I can’t wait to do another one!

  • What did I get for finishing? A shirt, a plush warrior helmet, a medal, and a free beer!

  • Who did I run with? I ran with my sorority sister, Liz. She’s awesome! We’re working up to running Tough Mudder, so bring it on!! Her mom came along and took all the pictures of us too!
