May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art – write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.
does a calorie deficit really matter that much? what if I had the right nutrients and vitamins and didn't eat clean, would I lose fat? it's very frustrating because I eat clean but I'm never full so I don't have a deficit and haven't lost much weight
Calorie deficit is necessary to help you lose weight, like calorie surplus is required if you want to build muscle.
You can eat clean all week long, but if your macros don’t match your goal – you will not get results.
First, find out what your caloric intake and your caloric expenditure is. This is your foundation. Then eating clean comes after. It is what will help you get your macronutrients in, which will make you feel good. Most “clean” foods are considered good because they’re low in calorie. But “clean” food like avocados and nuts are calorie dense. So make sure you’re planning this right.
